Adonna C.M. Alkema was educated at the University of Leiden. During her studies she participated in a comparative law study on several foreign statutory regulations for alternative dispute resolution in copyright matters on behalf of the Dutch Ministry of Justice. In September 2003 she was admitted to the Bar in Amsterdam and joined the firm Stibbe, where she specialised in intellectual property law. In September 2004 Adonna joined Klos Morel Vos & Schaap. She specialises in trademark, advertising and copyright related issues and is a member of the Intellectual Property organisation VvA. Adonna is one of the co-authors of the the leading Dutch intellectual property handbook ‘Kort Begrip van het Intellectuele Eigendomsrecht’ and teaches and lectures regularly on copyright and trademark law.
